🌞 DAY 10.3 • 📅 HARVESTIDE

⏰ Archery Range, 9:30AM

Will tries to pay for everyone's entry fees, but Sildar weasels out of it by passing his entry to Droop, and buying his own ticket. Hugh and Soren have war memories to when Lera tried to buy Sildar a ration and they started a whole intra-party war. Here we fucking go again.

The party gives their best shot at the archery range, and are all able to beat out the smug kid, who sulks away. Though everyone does excellently, except Soren who has disadvantage on every shot (thanks demon daddy!) Hugh and Droop win with a draw. In the end, Droop wins the tie-breaker and obtains the bow.

He says he doesn't want it and throws it on the ground LMAO.

Will takes the bow like:

Droop chases after the little girl who ended up losing, and asks for her name. She introduces herself as Tribi Longbobbin; somehow the conversation turns to unaliving Sam and Tam. Tribi commits microaggressions by saying he's nice for a goblin. Droop says she's nice for a human.

⏰ Granpappy's Candies, 10:30AM

The group visits Granpappy. He is not there still.

The conversation turns to the giant cats, and then to Will's past pets. Sildar inquires if Will likes animals. Will comments that he had a dog, but lost it in the raid. Droop starts questioning where the dog went, and what raid -- the party goes quiet.

Soren smokes weed.

Will eventually admits that it was the drow raid.

Soren smokes harder. He offers some to Sildar, who politely declines.

As they pass Arabella's cart, they find that Arabella never arrived. A nearby gnome tells the party that he was also looking forward to Arabella's stall, but that she probably got caught up on the way here. The party inquires about the direction of her house, and follow towards it.

⏰ Stoneskip Lake, 11:30AM

The party passes by the local lake, where Sildar and Will see a little girl participating in a stoneskipping competition and skips her stone so far that she passes out from excitement. Unfortunately, no one saw it due to a swarm of butterflies that distracts the crowd (including Hugh and Soren).

She wakes up and is devastated that no one saw her toss. Sildar and WIll try to comfort her, and Soren offers her bardic inspiration on her next skip, but she does not skip as far and cries. The judges of the competition try to give her fish (the prize), but she is more upset that no one saw her nobel world record throw.

Will casts light and druidcraft on a rock to placate her, which calms her down but she is still sad :(

Soren commends Will's handling of the child, and asks if he likes children. Will smiles and affirms; Soren asks if he has siblings, Will says he does not, but he had friends who were like siblings to him. The party talks about their siblings, Hugh names all of his 6. Sildar briefly cites Vulmar and Aire--as non-blood related siblings who passed away.

Soren says that he has one brother, whom he no longer stays in contact with.

Will lets Droop pull from the bag, it's a goat! Hugh names it Portabella.

Droop tries to get in on te weed. Soren uses prestidigitation to make the weed taste like shit, Droop spits it out and smashes it on the ground.

⏰ Threepenny Wood, 12:30AM

The party enters the forest and eventually finds four gnomes buried feet-first in the ground. As they try to rescue the gnomes, the Ankheg -- an Underdark, under-dwelling bug -- that had buried them attacks the party.

As the martials round the gnomes to protect them, the backline -- Soren and Droop -- get attacked by several more Ankhegs, causing Sildar to split off from the gnomes and tank a heavy hit by one of them. The Rothe gets heavily bitten. One of the Ankhegs grapple Soren; in response, Soren's eyes flash white and he casts Hellish Rebuke, killing the bug.

Sildar expresses concern about Soren using Graz'zt's powers. Soren argues that these are gifts from his patron and that he should make use of them. Soren, in turn, calls Sildar on getting hurt for his sake; Sildar argues that he can take more damage.

Will is like "lmao we're an adventuring party, we're gonna get hurt, sit down but yall cute tho" and heals the Rothe, before healing Soren as well.

Droop demands heals as well despite not being hurt, Soren uses Prestidigitation to warm his pants, making him feel like he was healed.

Sildar offers to carry Soren; they flirt, Sildar is Surprisingly Forward, Soren is blushren.

We talk about Portabella, who perished to an Ankheg (so that Droop didn't have to). Droop laments that he could not eat Portabella, concerning the party. They ask if Droop would eat them; Droop would. Will explains that you should not eat your friends; Droop does not comprehend, because goblins do not waste.
